Eternal love

couple hugging

Tring Tring

Radhika waited until Ronan Keating finished singing "You say it best, when you say nothing at all" her all time favorite track from notthing hill. This song not only hold a special place in her heart but also extremely fond memories of her college life. This was the song that made her fall hard for the man singing this song, this song gave her the first ever love of her life, her college sweetheart. As the song ends, she takes off the earplugs of her ipod and plugs in that of her phone-

"Hello."

"Radhika?"

"Think of the devil and the devil calls", she said laughingly and the voice on the other side of the phone joined in.

Traun, her college sweetheart, the man who swept her off her feet by singing Keating. She is amazed how his voice can still send shivers down her spine just like the moment he said "I love you too" to her. Yes, it was her who proposed and Tarun with everything else fell for her unconventional and daring ways.

"I heard you are back in town for a while. How in the hell your husband let you go."

"Ahh I guess as usual some birdie chirped. Right?"

"Seems like marriage failed to capture your intelligence?" and they both laughed.

"Lets see if it got our sense of adventure or you still have it" dared tarun

"What do you mean?"

"5 o clock, same place."

"Tarun, am married."

"Chicken"

"Shut up"

"5 o clock?"

"Okay 5 o clock."

She was thrilled. during college she often sneaked out or made excuses to see Tarun. They would always spend some romantic time together. He was always adventuraous and immensly romantic. She still remembers how he took her for a candlelight dinner on a hilltop, among clouds on her birthday, one among many breathtaking gifts he had given her.

His call came as a surprise to her. Knowing his whereabouts she wasnt expecting him to be in town, atleast not today. Although she knew he would have found a way pretty soon, but this soon, was pretty much surprising. But this was tarun, her tarun.

She still had 3 hrs in her hand. She wanted to look her best. married or not, a date with tarun has always been special to her. She rummaged through her closet, chosing and discarding clothes, untill she settled for a wine red fish cut channel that she knew he was crazy about. She took a long bath and got ready. She was nervous, what was she going to tell her parents. But looks like being married has this one advantage along with many other, that no one asks you questions anymore. She took the chauffered car and dismissed it knowing very well that Tarun will take her around as he wishes and will finally drive her home. This sneaking out, secret date was giving her butterflies all over tummy.

She hated waiting and as usual he was late. someone closed her eyes from behind. She did not has to guess, she was intimately familiar with his touch. How can she ever forget the warmth of his skin where she had find her solutide numerous times. She squealed with delight as he turned her around, held her in his arms and took her for a spin.

"Hey", she jumped up and down like a child and squealed with deligh as she hugged him tight.

"Easy girl. Are you here to kill me?" he gave her a questioning look and they both laughed hard.

This is what she had always loved in him, the easy way he can make her smile, any given day, at any point of time.

"Come" he took her hand and dragged her to his car.

"Where are we going?"

"You will see."

She loved his surprises. After few minues of drive he pulled his car to stop on an exotic looking place

"Remember this?"

She held her breath as the scenery took her breath away as powerfully as last time she had been here.
High mountains rose to meet the sky. Clouds gently lowering themselfs to the peaks as if to take rest after a long walk. The waterfall so surprisingly emerging from somewhere among mountains, falling down with a sund that fills you with inner satisfaction and peace. And the river foaming where it meets the fall like someone has mixed packets and packets of surf in it. And few foots from where they stand was a table, a picnic table.

"Yes, how can I ever forget this place. This was something I fell in love with hard."

He raised an eyebrow at her answer

She laughed "ofcourse less harder than I fell for you" and they both laughed

"The last place we dated before moving out of college" she sighed

"The last place we dated before you got married" Tarun smiled

"Before we got married" she grinned.

"Happy anniversary babes."

"I thought you weren't going to make it."

"How could i have not."

Her eyes gleamed with light, matching to those droplets all over the fall that gleamed like million diamonds in sunset.
